Spring Loaded!!!

What a fabulous few months we have coming up. Kicking off the season in fashionable style is the annual Ceroc Spring Ball on Friday March 22nd. Dazzle your fellow dancers with your ‘Dress To Impress’ outfit and your fancy dance floor moves. After such a fabulous event, we will be taking a breather on Friday March 29th (Good Friday) as there will be no Ceroc that night.

April is chock-full of shiny, happy dance events. Cerocshops offered during this month include Beginner Blast (April 7th) and Learn a Routine in One Day (April 21st). Both are beginner/easy intermediate level. Book today to avoid disappointment! The next Bring Friends For Free night is Friday April 12th. All Ceroc members can bring non-members for free; a great way to introduce your friends to the wonderful world of Ceroc.

Last, but definitely not least, we are putting the FUN back in fundraiser. "Ceroc Around The Clock" is a 12 hour danceathon organised by Ceroc Vancouver to raise money for the flooded Kitsilano Showboat. Register today to collect pledges or pay $20 at the door for this dance-tastic event.

After a fabulous summer of dancing and excellent Dance Teams performances, we are girding our loins for a fun & frantic Fall!

Cerocshops are happening! And they are happening on the following Sundays: Sept 23, Oct 14, Oct 28, Nov 25. These workshops cover all kinds of things that you don't get to see at a regular Ceroc night and there's one for every level of dancer. Book your place now to avoid disappointment.

"Bring Friends For Free Nights" for Ceroc members always have a great vibe and are a wonderful way to see some new faces. The next BFFF nights are scheduled for Sept 20, Oct 26, Nov 22. Tell your friends to put at least one of those dates in their diaries!

And, as if that wasn't enough, Ceroc has several exciting events planned in the coming months:

Brush off your tuxedo, practise your best British accent, and start drinking martinis............yes, we have a James Bond party on Friday Nov (0)09, to celebrate the release of Skyfall. Come as a suave James Bond or a sultry Bond Girl or a dastardly Bond Villian but leave any authentic firearms at home!

The popular Cabaret at the Cambrian is scheduled for Thursday Dec. 6th. If you would like to showcase your talents (dancing, singing, juggling, telling family-friendly jokes etc.), email Kerry and she will book your act. Every entry wins a prize woo hoo! If you'd like to keep your talents hidden, then just come along to cheer on everyone else and have a great night of dancing.

Our last event of the year will be the Ceroc Christmas Party (there, we said it, yes Christmas already!) on Friday Dec 14. Wear something red, white & sparkly and be prepared for some fun lessons, party games, lots of freestyle and presents under the tree (only for those on the naughty list).

Springing into action!

We have so much planned for Ceroc over the next couple of months, it's like a cherry tree crammed with beautiful blossoms!! Cerocshops are ongoing and we have a bit of something for everyone: Moves Made Magic on April 22nd for beginner/easy intermediate, plus Mini-Aerials (May 13th) and Ducks (May 27th) for intermediate dancers. They are filling up fast so book your space online or on the door at a Ceroc night. Our next Freestyle Frenzy half-price dance party is on April 27th and it's going to be a bit special. We will have a crew there filming a reality TV show for the Slice Network. So dress up, bring your friends, break out your best moves and dance like EVERYBODY'S watching! The next Bring Friends For Free night is May 18th and the following week (May 25th) will be Ceroc Vancouver's 6th Birthday Party! It's all go, you know. As if that wasn't enough, we are actively recruiting enthusiastic dancers for the 2012 Dance Team. Speak to one of the teachers or come to an info session on May 17th/18th. All abilities welcome!

Ceroc Vancouver got off to a great start in 2012 and we're only just out of the starting blocks! Our first big event of the year is our Mardi Gras Masked Ball on Friday Feb 24th. Costumes, beads & masks are all encouraged at this fun frenzy. If you can't drag your friends out for that one, then try our next Bring Friends For Free night on Thursday March 22nd. Ceroc members can bring in any number of non-members for free. Cerocshops will start in earnest in March and details will be posted soon. And it's never too early to start thinking about Dance Team......... ask a Ceroc teacher if you are interested/intrigued!
